FOUNDER: Sam Ponting

After many, many years of analysing the various dynamics of player-coach relationships, communication instruction, my verdict was simple:

There is an alarming & indescribable lack of emotional rapport between coaches and players. Many of these players fell out of love with the sport, and ultimately their participation in the game. I asked myself in the deepest possible way ... "why?".

I concluded that often it was not due to the commonly listed justifications; busy schedule, too demanding etc ....

It was actually heavily related to the emotional relationship that the player shared with the coach.

I felt like an anomaly. I knew there was something more complex that I had to offer.

In any setting, both recreational & professional - an emotional connections MUST be formed between two parties, in our case - a player and a coach, in order for considerable progress to be made.

We believe this so much that we decided to establish our own brand with this exact sentiment at the forefront of all coach, player and family relationships that OTB develops.

Philosophy

Our purpose is simple: to educate and enrich children lives through soccer. Our unwavering mission is to provide the highest quality experience for all players who pass through any of our camps, programs or individual packages.

Here are a couple of secrets that we pride ourselves on. Remember, every session, class, camp or clinic follows this small list of non-negotiable elements:

- Every player is a unique individual - treat them that way!

- It is far easier to blossom in a safe, encouraging and free-to-fail environment - create it.

- Incorporate fun, smiles and laughter into your soccer .... It will increase engagement, and allow players to subconsciously develop more.

Last but not least, maybe the best part?

- Small sided games .... and lots of them. After all, the game is the best teacher!
